Our amazing team member, Alfie, has experienced an extraordinary journey with his son, Rocco, who was born with a serious heart condition. At merely a few hours old, Rocco was rushed to the Royal Brompton Hospital, where medical staff discovered he had multiple holes in his heart and only one functioning chamber. This devastating diagnosis marked the beginning of an incredible story of resilience and hope.

Thanks to the exceptional care provided by the Royal Brompton Hospital, along with multiple surgical interventions, Rocco defied overwhelming odds and continues to grow stronger with each passing day. His journey stands as a testament to both modern medicine and the unwavering strength of the human spirit in the face of tremendous adversity.

Alfie’s father, Rob, is now running a marathon to raise awareness and vital support for the Royal Brompton Hospital, which played such a crucial role in saving his grandson Rocco’s life.
